CNC Robotic Finishing Centre Model: MONO
The CNC MONO is a 4 axis finishing machine designed for polishing, buffing, grinding,
deburring or brushing a wide variety of materials. Metals, Plastic, Wood,
Composites etc. Castings, Forgings, Pressings, Machined from billet etc.
Programming is via a Schleicher Promodul F CNC,
Teach-in/Play- back system, or off line programming system e.g. SM Stahl, or
SILMA.
Machine Frame:
Of massive modern construction out of welded heavy gauge steel plate, machined to accept the buffing stations. The necessary mechanical and pneumatic elements for the buffing units are built into the machine frame. The machine requires no especial foundation, and is mounted on 4 adjustable anti-vibration pads built into the machine base.
Stahl Robot: The amply proportioned slides for the X & Y axes of the 5 Axis robot are mounted into the lower machine frame together with all the axis drive component parts for the W - & U axes. The drive components, including brush less servo motors, absolute encoders, and balls screws are readily accessible, for ease of serviceability The drives for the 2 radial axes are via reduction gearing with toothed belts and transmission shafts. The final drive for the U axis are via differential gear running in a oil bath. All the linear axes are equipped with a central lubrication system.

Component Gripping System
The Stahl robot can be equipped with either a single or double ended component
holding device. Both components are equipped with a 40 mm tooling adapter mounted
to the end of the U axis , to permit mounting of component specific tooling.
Components can be held by mechanical, pneumatic or vacuum tooling. Standard
equipment, is a single arm arrangement with a 40 mm dia. bore clamping flange and
pneumatic cylinder to enable component gripping with pneumatic clamping cylinder.
SM-Grinding Station

Mounted in the rear of the machine. The grinding station is equipped with automatic linear buffing wheel position adjustment, and surface speed compensation. The grinding pressure is constantly monitored, and adjusted as the buff wears, via an electronic buffing pressure sensor. The pre-determined buff surface speed is adjusted to maintain a constant surface speed throughout the life of the buff.
The buffing speed is infinitely variable via AC motor with variable frequency drive under the CNC control, with maximum spindle speeds 1450 R.P.M. as standard.
Pressure Compensation Device

The contact pressure of the buffing wheels is adjustable within a range of 0-10 mm.

The pressure range is 0,8 - 7 bar
The pressure is from 40 N -260 N

Separate free standing control cabinet with air conditioning device for constant
operating temperature. Housing the 4- axis CNC-control and the motor drive
controls for the servo motors. Including PSO10 software for linear and
circular interpolation.
